Mission Statement and Objectives of the Organisation
The mission statement of Pickering and Ferens Homes is:-
“To provide high quality homes of older people, in housing need throughout the city of Kingston upon Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire
The association will fulfill the mission statement by:-
- providing a large range of housing, and related services – in order to enable older residents to lead as full and as independent a life as possible within the community,
- promoting a greater awareness of the housing needs of older people, and by
- maintaining a leading position in the provision of social housing rented accommodation in the city of Kingston upon Hull for older people.
The six main objectives of the organisation are to:-
- continue to provide the best service possible to residents at the most economical cost,
- continue to ensure that the accommodation provided is maintained and improved to the highest standards,
- continue to provide new accommodation in the city of Kingston upon Hull, and the East Riding of Yorkshire, if advantageous,
- continue to strengthen the financial health and well-being of the organisation,
- continue to ensure that Trustees and staff are trained to a high standard, and
- continue to operate as a successful, independent, self-reliant, autonomous organisation.
