Customer Service Excellence
Pickering and Ferens Homes is pleased to announce that in August 2008 the association achieved the government’s new Customer Service Excellence Standard – which has been certified by the Centre for Assessment. The Customer Service Excellence Standard replaces Charter Mark and officially recognises organisations which attempt to achieve the highest standards of customer service.
The original assessment was undertaken during June and July 2008. The association has since been subject to a number of surveillance reports, the most recent of which, in September 2011, was passed with flying colours.

Good Mark Award - Hull Civic Society
In the autumn of 2001, Hull Civic Society commended Pickering and Ferens Homes for refurbishment work carried out on a group of eight bedsits atLaburnum Avenue, Garden Village, Hull. The Good Mark Award was granted for “sympathetic refurbishment and positive contribution to the living environment of Hull".
Investors In People
In January 2005 a site visit to Pickering and Ferens Homes was undertaken by an Investors in People assessor. The assessor stated: “I am delighted to conclude that at the assessment site visit held on 18th January 2005, that Pickering and Ferens Homes had met all of the indicators of the Investors in People National Standard". Following review the association continues to meet the Investors in People standard.
In March 2008 a further assessment of the association was undertaken. The decision of the Investors in People assessor was that “having carried out the review process rigorously and in accordance with the guidance for Assessors by Investors in People UK, I am satisfied that Pickering and Ferens Homes continues to meet all the requirements of the Investors in Peoples national standard. It is therefore my decision that the organisation maintains recognition as an Investor in People".
In December 2010 a further assessment was undertaken. The decision of the Investors in People assessor was that Pickering and Ferens Homes continues to meet the requirements of the Investors in People standard.
Housing Corporation Assessment 2006
In August 2006 the Housing Corporation awarded Pickering and Ferens Homes three green lights in accordance with being financially viable, properly managed and properly governed.
