Community Development
Resident participation and involvement has always been very important toPickering and Ferens Homes especially since the launch of the Community Development Programme in 1995.
The structure of our Community Development meetings has recently been revised.
The association now runs local Area Forums in the North, East and West areas of the city. These Area Forums give the various areas a more tailored service to better suit their individual requirements.
The forums also allow us to decide, along with the resident representatives from each area, what is important and help identify priorites for the area. It also allows residents to offer their point of view on what they would like from the organisation.
