Get support in my home? (Existing Pickering and Ferens Homes residents only)

We have dedicated, CRB checked staff who can visit you in your home to discuss your specific support requirements. You may simply need help filling in a form, or require help getting aid or adaptations provided to your home. Get help with my garden?

If you would like some help looking after your garden please contact our maintenance or housing section on (01482) 223783, they can send you a form and will explain any charges to you.

Get permission to keep a pet?

Please contact your Housing Manager on (01482) 223783 to discuss this as pets may not be permitted, depending on the type of property you live in.

Pickering and Ferens Homes strongly advise that you insure the contents of your home and can suggest a number of providers to you.

Report a repair?

It is important that you let us know as soon as you discover a fault that requires our attention. Get involved?

Pickering and Ferens Homes actively encourages residents to get involved in their local communities, whether this is visiting their local Pop-In or taking part in organised trips. The association also invites and encourages resident participation in discussions and meetings about the services we offer.

Find out whether my property is on the external painting programme?

Under normal circumstances, the external wood of your property will be decorated every 5 years. For more specific information, please contact our Maintenance Section on (01482) 212360. Alternatively you can contact us using our online contact form.

Find out about Aids and Adaptations?

You may sometimes find it a struggle to do some of the daily tasks that you used to find easy. There are various aids and adaptations available which may assist you.

Request a transfer?

Sometimes you may feel that your home is no longer suitable for your needs. For example, if you live in a first floor flat you may require a move to ground floor level accommodation if your mobility deteriorates.  Please contact your Housing Manager on (01482) 223783 to discuss your requirements.

End half of a joint Letter of Appointment / Licence?

In the event of your spouse (or partner) moving or passing away, please contact your Housing Manager on (01482) 223783 to discuss this.

End my Letter of Appointment / Licence?
