Mission Statement and Objectives of the Organisation
The mission statement of Pickering and Ferens Homes is:
“To provide high quality homes for older people, in housing need throughout the city of Kingston upon Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire”
The association will fulfill this mission statement by:
- providing a variety of housing and services in order to cater for older residents, enabling them to lead as full and independent a life as possible
- promoting a greater awareness of the housing needs of older people, and
- maintaining a leading position in the provision of rented social housing for older people in the city of Kingston upon Hull.
The six main objectives of the organisation are:
- to continue to provide the best service possible to residents at the most economic cost,
- to continue to ensure that the accommodation provided is maintained and improved to the highest standards,
- to continue to provide new accommodation in the city of Kingston upon Hull, and the East Riding of Yorkshire, if advantageous,
- to continue to strengthen the financial health and well being of the organisation,
- to ensure that the Trustees and staff are trained to the high standard possible, and
- to continue to operate as a successful, independent, self-reliant, organisation.
