Executive Team



Claire is passionate about ensuring Pickering and Ferens Homes’ residents have the best possible quality homes and services in later life. She places emphasis on promoting residents’ health and well-being, particularly tackling loneliness and isolation issues. She is committed to maintaining PFH as a trusted and leading housing provider within Hull and the East Riding.

A fellow of the Chartered Institute of Housing and with a BA (Hons) degree in Housing Studies, Claire has a social housing career spanning over 30 years.

Claire has worked as a Chief Executive for the last 18 years and has significant experience in non-executive roles and is a Board Member of North Star Housing Group and a member of their Audit and Risk Committee.

Claire is appointed to the NHF National Smaller Housing Association Group and participates with both CIH and NHF Groups at a regional level.



Lish joined Pickering and Ferens Homes in June 1993 and has held a number of financial roles before becoming Business Services Director.

As well as being PFH’s chief financial officer, Lish also leads on financial planning, treasury management, performance, HR and IT services.

Qualified as a chartered management accountant with a background in the not for profit sector, Lish joined us from Together Housing Group (Harewood Housing Society Ltd) where he was a finance officer; prior to this he worked at Auker Rhodes LLP and has served as a member of the Risk and Assurance Committee at Yorkshire Housing Group.



Richard joined PFH in December 2021 and has a huge amount of experience in housing. Richard has previously worked for West North West Homes as Deputy Chief Executive and Director of Housing, prior to launching his own consultancy business. Whilst he hails from South Yorkshire, Richard has close links with the local area, having previously worked for the Humber Bridge Board.

Richard leads our resident and property services teams and has overall responsibility for a wide range of PFH’s work; ensuring we uphold our high standards whilst delivering excellent services.



Martin joined PFH in June 2018 and has over 20 years senior management experience in asset management and development for blue chip companies and 12 years at executive level in the Housing sector. Prior to joining PFH, Martin was providing freelance consultancy support and had previously been the Group Strategic Director for Futures Housing Group where he was responsible for 9000 properties and the development of over 2000 homes.

Martin has a wealth of experience in delivering strategic projects and has led on many social enterprise initiatives including the inception of Futures Greenscape, which provides training and support to local people in grounds maintenance and facilities services. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Building and the Chartered Association of Building Engineers .

Martin is keen to lead and inspire his colleagues to ensure the continued success of PFH and leads on maintaining our highly regarded standards in house building, property condition and responsive repairs.
