Join Hull Dementia Collaborative for a fun family day to raise awareness of all the services and support groups dedicated to helping people to live well with Dementia. Visitors and shoppers alike can take part in the arts and crafts activities and enjoy the entertainments inside and outside St Stephens. Pickering and Ferens Homes will be at the event.

Hull Dementia Collaborative supported by the Clinical Commissioning Group and Hull City Council are to takeover the ground floor of St Stephen’s Shopping Centre to showcase the wide range of services and activities that are available for those dealing with dementia in their lives.

There will be demonstrations of fun services with health benefits alongside a wide range of stalls and information points signposting vital services and key organisations in the city.

By holding the annual dementia awareness event inside the the busy St Stephen’s shopping centre it is hoped that those people who may not already use or yet know about existing services, can learn more about how to live well with dementia.

In addition to all the stalls from the local health authority visitors can take advantage of one-to-one consultations being offered in the Clinic Tent and also learn about the new Social Prescribing Model to be found in G.P. surgeries through Connect-Well.

Continuing the Dementia Friendly Hull initiative chaired by June Cooke of Butterflies Memory Loss Support Group there will be Dementia Friends Training sessions running in St Stephen’s Boardroom throughout the day: Booking is Essential.
