Introducing ‘Orchard Garth’ – 29 new homes in Hessle

29 new homes for older people were officially opened by Lord Mayor, Councillor Kalvin Neal on Wednesday 14 June, in a spectacular afternoon tea event for residents and guests.

Built by Registered Social Housing Provider, Pickering and Ferens Homes who provide accommodation and services predominantly for residents aged over 60 with a particular social value emphasis on health and wellbeing in later life.

Developed just off Hessle High Road in Hull, the 23 bungalows and 6 apartments are set within a beautiful Orchard and are designed sympathetically to compliment the natural surroundings.

This development was made possible partly through funding from Homes England and planning permission from Hull City Council, bringing much needed quality housing for older people to the region.

Kate Calvert, Chair of the Board at PFH says, “It is wonderful to see Orchard Garth completed, and to see that the new occupants are enjoying their new homes. We are committed to growing our organisation to deliver even more housing that suit the resident’s needs.”
