New report highlights physical inactivity as a big public health challenge

More than 6.4 million older people in England are regarded as physically inactive, according to a new report. Anchor Hanover’s Active Ageing report warns that without a change in attitude towards exercise, it could cost the NHS more than £1.3bn by 2030.

The team at PFH is always looking at ways in which we can encourage residents to take part in different forms of exercise.

A new initiative from Sport England and Demos, 10 Today, is a new broadcast developed by older people, for older people. It’s being piloted to try and get people thinking about their health and wellbeing and involves just 10 minutes of activity each day. It’s simple to get involved and will make a big difference to everyone’s health and wellbeing.
