Pickering and Ferens Homes is delighted to announce that has been shortlisted for an Inside Housing Development Award for its current Newbridge Village development, scheduled for completion in early 2019.
The Hull-based housing association, which caters its housing provision and services towards people over the age of 55, has been working to address the national housing shortage by developing properties which are adapted to the specific needs of its residents. The development has been shortlisted as one of the Best Older People’s Housing Developments, with the winners due to be announced later this year.
The properties, which form part of one of the largest bungalow developments in the UK currently being developed, are adjacent to the integrated care centre, which provides support to patients who have long-term health conditions and illnesses associated with older age.
This marks PFH’s third award shortlisting this year – PFH was also a finalist in the UK Housing Awards in 2018 for Development of the Year for the Newbridge Village development, as well as being shortlisted in the Employer of the Year category in the Women in Housing Awards, due to be announced in October.
