Come along to a PFH Open Day!

We know that as we get older, staying independent, connected and confident in your home becomes even more important. That’s why we’re inviting you to come along to one of our upcoming PFH open days to find out more about our apartments and the support available.

PFH properties are designed for single people or couples aged 60+, offering safe, comfortable homes across our welcoming schemes, each with their own Scheme Manager on site to provide day-to-day support and help residents access services when needed.

Our schemes offer a fantastic range of facilities, helping you to live independently while enjoying peace of mind and a strong sense of community.

We’re also proud to offer our SMART-enabled ‘Try Before You Apply’ apartment at Ada Holmes Circle. This unique opportunity allows people to experience what it’s really like to live in a PFH+ apartment before making any decisions, giving you confidence, choice and reassurance.

Participants can:

  • Stay in a fully furnished and equipped apartment for up to three weeks
  • Stay completely free of charge, with no impact on Housing Benefit
  • Enjoy the reassurance that someone will check on your welfare every day
  • Make use of all communal facilities and join in social activities if they wish
  • Meet new people, make new friends and try new things
  • Leave with no commitment at all, although you can apply for permanent rehousing later if you choose

Thanks to a £10,000 award from the KCOM Digital Inclusion Grant, the apartment is equipped with a range of SMART technology, designed to support independence, dignity and quality of life.

Our SMART vision focuses on providing Supporting, Modern, Accessible, Responsive and Transformative technology, including:

  • Voice-controlled lighting and curtains
  • Reminders via an Alexa Smart Hub
  • Discreet aids and adaptations to support safety and movement
  • An accessible kitchen designed to support safe, independent food preparation
  • Stylish, homely furnishings designed with ease of access in mind

You can try as much or as little of this technology as you like during your stay or simply come along to view the equipment and adaptations available.
