Property Demand

Below are some of the areas and property types with OPEN waiting lists. 

When making your application, you’ll be able to select from open lists, but note some areas are only open to those aged 60 or over. You will not be able to select from closed lists. We review waiting list numbers every three months; if an area you would like is currently closed, it may re-open in the future.

Each area shows:

  • The points needed to be considered for vacancies in the area, and
  • The number of people on the list for the area – GREEN = 20 people or fewer waiting; YELLOW – between 21-50 people waiting; RED = 50-100 waiting.  The fewer people waiting, the higher your chance of rehousing.

Once, you’ve submitted your application, you’ll receive a confirmation letter or email confirming:

  • Your area choices,
  • The points you have been awarded, and
  • The points needed to be considered for vacancies in the areas you have requested
  • A reminder of any proofs outstanding (to be provided before your application is made ‘live’).   

PLEASE NOTE – THIS INFORMATION IS FOR GUIDANCE ONLY.  It is accurate as of 17th August 2026.  The waiting list changes on a daily basis, as new people join it, people are removed from it or the circumstances of applicants change.  Therefore the points needed for each area or property type will also change on a daily basis.
